Dear Kearsley Parents and Families,
At Kearsley Community Schools, the safety and well-being of our students, families, staff, and community members is always our highest priority. We also want Kearsley varsity football games to be an enjoyable and positive experience for everyone who attends.
Following a few concerns that arose during our Homecoming football game on September 25, 2026, we have reviewed our spectator procedures and are making some adjustments to help ensure a safe, organized, and enjoyable environment at our remaining home varsity football games this fall.
Beginning immediately, Kearsley security staff will be enhanced, and the following spectator expectations will be in place at varsity football games.
Varsity Football Game Spectator Expectations
Elementary and Junior High Students
All elementary and junior high students must attend with a parent or guardian. Students must remain with a parent or guardian before, during, and after the competition while on Kearsley High School grounds. No Re-Entry
Once a spectator leaves the stadium, they will not be permitted to re-enter. This policy will be enforced through the fourth quarter. No Personal Bags or Backpacks
Personal bags and backpacks will not be permitted for spectators, including adults, high school students, and children.Reduced Access Areas
Access to areas west of the stadium will be reduced. Additionally, the area underneath the bleachers will be closed to spectators.Home Spectator Entrance
All home spectators must enter through the main gate located at the northwest corner of the stadium.Visiting Spectator Entrance
All visiting spectators must enter through the spectator gate located at the northeast corner of the stadium.Home Concessions
To help improve traffic flow, lines for home concessions will now form directly north of the concession booth.Student Gathering Areas
The main north-south corridor behind the home bleachers must remain clear. Groups of students will not be permitted to gather in this area. Students and groups of students will be redirected to the bleachers or to the parking lot.
Working Together for a Great Kearsley Experience
We understand that changes to familiar routines can take some getting used to. We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we put these procedures in place.
Our goal is not to restrict the fun and excitement that make Kearsley football special. Rather, these expectations are designed to provide better supervision, improved crowd movement, and a safer environment for everyone.
We ask that parents and guardians review these expectations with their children before attending a game. Your support in helping us follow these procedures will make a significant difference.
Thank you for being part of the Kearsley community and for helping us make our athletic events safe, welcoming, and enjoyable for all.
Go Hornets!
